We are Bryna Louise Noble McCarty and Joe Fox, AKA- Noble Fox Adventures, LLC. We are BICP-certified coaches and everything we provide is 100% custom. You tell us when you want to ride and a little about yourself and your group, and we'll work together to provide you and your crew with a great experience! If we can't provide the service you need, we will refer you to someone who can. We are passionate believers in the idea that a high tide floats all boats.
Whether you're looking for someone to help you transition from riding roads to riding trails, to show you around the best of Kingdom Trails so that you never have to take out a map, to teach you how to set up your bike's suspension, or to help you gain the skills and confidence you need to send the summit of Burke Mountain, we will meet you where you're at on your journey to becoming a better rider. Our primary focuses are on your comfort, safety, and making sure you have fun! We believe the outdoors are for every body. We assure you, will find a welcoming and supportive environment with us.
The Northeast Kingdom of VT is our home, and we would be honored to show you around! When we decided where to get married, the slopes of Burke Mountain seemed like a natural decision!
Let us show you why we love this place so much!
Joe moved to the Northeast Kingdom in 1996 to attend what was then Lyndon State College where he graduated with a degree in Recreation Resource and Ski Resort Management. Like Bryna, he was a self-described hooligan as a child, riding bikes and skateboards in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. His "real" job is Director of Recreational Programs for St. Johnsbury Academy, where he has led a wide variety of programs including mountain biking summer camps and helping start a new competitive mountain bike program that is part of VT Youth Cycling. He is a BICP-certified mountain bike instructor as well as a Wilderness First Responder and the Vice President of the Caledonia Trail Collaborative.
"Noble Fox Adventures, LLC is a dream come true for me. The past few years have really driven home for us how important the outdoors are to Bryna and I. We have spent every possible minute we can riding bikes and have traveled to so many amazing places right here in VT and in nearby NH during the lockdown. I've been very fortunate to have spent the last 15 years coaching a variety of sports, but I can honestly say, nothing brings me more joy than helping a mountain biker progress in skills and confidence or to try new features or go on a trail for the first time. As cheesy as it might sound, I get totally stoked on getting others stoked on biking.
If you're thinking of learning to mountain bike or are looking for some guidance to tackle a new skill, please give us a shout. We would be thrilled to help you develop a love for this sport that has become such a huge part of our lives."
- Coach Joe
Bryna hails from Concord, VT and spent her childhood summers riding bikes around her neighborhood, playing in the Moose River, and spending hours upon hours in the woods. She spent her winters skiing Burke Mountain and eventually graduated from BMA, where she went on to a successful career with the US Ski Team as a speed specialist.
Following her race career, in addition to getting a degree in Architectural Engineering, she went on to coach skiing for high level athletes of all ages at programs such as BMA, Holderness School, and the Franconia Ski Club. She has now built on that coaching experience and adapted it to the world of mountain bike skills instruction. She is also a BICP-certified coach. She's worked camps with St. Johnsbury Recreation, as a guest coach at our friend Kraig Sourbeer's Kingdom Camps, as a coach with St. Johnsbury Academy's HilltopperMTB program, and of course, was instrumental in getting a weekly women's group off the ground in our first year of operation here at Noble Fox Adventures.
"I find a lot of similarities between skiing and mountain biking; mostly in how a little confidence boost and a few key tips on form can go a long way in improving performance. It's just really important that good relationships be established between coaches and students and my goal is to be as supportive as possible and show people as much fun in their time with me as I can, all while keeping them safe."

Sure, you can find us on social media and while we would love you to "like" or follow us, the truth is... we prefer good old fashioned phone calls to DM's.
All kidding aside, for the service we provide, custom tours and instruction, we can best serve you after we've had a brief conversation about what you're looking for in a lesson. Please shoot us a text or give us a call any day of the week, 8AM-8PM EST.
